No 73 2008 Design Scheme for Urban Elevator Meissen Castleposted on 2008-12-02A new diagonal elevatator will give access to the historical site of the Meissen Castle. What appears as two crossing meandering passages for pedestrian access on the surface level, simultaneously gives shape to the double-curved light-chimneys of the underground elevator. Cladded with Meissen tiles in a spectrum of colors, a kinetic experience of light and shape – linked to weather and seasonal condition – is unfolding on this elevator ride.
