COMPETITION “INDOOR CLIMBING CENTER BRUNECK†– PRICE WINNING PROJECTposted on 2010-05-05An interior landscape of some sort: At the competition INDOOR CLIMBING HALL BRUNECK in Italy, we have been awarded 2nd price for our entry where individual rock volumes accumulate to a canyon of rock walls, lit from above with natural day light. The carbon-free energy concept was develloped with Transsolar Climate Engineering.

No 69 2008-10 MURTURM – European Nature Reserve Observation Tower, Gosdorf, Austriaposted on 2010-02-09The Murturm Nature Observation Tower at the Mur river in Austria will open early March 2010. The sculptural structure with its tricky tectonics is following the principles of a double-helix. On top, a visitors platform is resting 27 meters above the ground overlooking the nature reserve to allow scientific monitoring as well as visual access to the river renaturation project. This initial structure is part of the larger scheme for the MUR NATURE RESERVE, designed by terrain. First images and text by Lilli Hollein coming soon! Based on the typological principles of the ancient Arab courtyard house, this housing development combines urban density with individual outdoor-space for each living-unit. A diverse mix of scales and types of apartments and studios aims to support a socially broad mix of tenants for this new urban neighborhood.
