Meander landscape sculpture
new connection path to the Albrechts Castle
Staircases, terraced slopes and retaining walls are typical landscape elementsof the
historic city of Meissen and reflect the tectonic of the landscape in the cityscape.
With a forward projection and a re-interpretation, the present project
ties tothis distinctive urban space building tradition.
This project selects an approach for the new climbing aid that cross the wall
crest of the northern Albrechtsburg in an invisible way, or rather will be built
in order to consider that the crossing of the wall is a significant
diminutionof the historic power of the slope structure.
As a result, a system, whose the expression oscillates between staircases,
ravines and tunnels system, which cross under the more powerful castle
wall, will be developed.
