The development of four solitary buildings enables the complementation of historic building structures, both in matters of scale and spacial differentiation. Courtyards, terraced gardens and the place front are shaped by different levels of hight and volumes of the solitary building structures. By functional differentiation between residential housing, administrative building, hotel and restaurant / location, various typologies are created: Two of the four buildings are regarded as reinterpretation of a "Hofhaus", a common historical typology in Graz. The "Hofhaus" combines urban density and desires for private green exterior spaces.

Individual loggias, assigned to hotel rooms and apartments of the upmarket residential building, complemented by an individual and protected exterior space. The exterior spaces are positioned around a central atrium, in the case of the upmarket residential housing, the private exterior spaces are oriented towards the green inner courtyard.
Both of these are functionally and spacially developed around a shared-use courtyard. Different types of floor plans are combined.
